Article: Linthicum: $185K grant secured for new memorial

The Linthicum Veterans Memorial, Inc. recently announced the
receipt of a capital grant from the state for the construction of
the Linthicum Veterans Memorial. Supported by County Executive John
R. Leopold and County Councilman Daryl Jones, the grant was
sponsored by Sen. Ed DeGrange and the District 32 delegation - Dels.
Mary Ann Love, Ted Sophocleus and Pam Beidle.
Funded through House Bill 102, the grant will cover up to
$185,000 of construction costs and will be available this month.
Work has already begun with onsite development plans and
architectural drawings, and construction of the memorial is planned
to begin this year.
