Public input required on Stillwater deal

Re "Stillwater deal done, officials say," Aug. 14: Reconsider placing ex-criminal gardeners next to disabled persons' homes and an elementary school. The action of the Montgomery County commissioners, U.S. District Court Judge Walter Rice and restaurateur Howard Solganik, chairs of the county's prisoner re- entry task force, seems to violate the preamble of our Constitution in that the will of the people was circumvented and ignored.

President Barack Obama goes to great extremes to advocate the principle of transparency. It is a travesty in our country to conduct the people's affairs under the cover of darkness. We have no recourse but to seek ...
