Oconomowoc Area Schools - Seven years after graduating with a degree from Marquette University in broadcast journalism and Spanish, Emily Mariano has found herself in a career far removed from a microphone.

As the new associate principal at Oconomowoc High School, Mariano took a turn on her career path and has never looked back.

"I graduated from Marquette and while finishing up there, I applied for New York City Teaching Fellows Program which is very similar to Teach for America, except that it is only based in New York," she explained.
