Kanawha deputies arrest 2 fugitives
Kanawha County sheriffs deputies arrested two fugitives on
Wednesday night.
Lt. Bryan Stover of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said
deputies went to Parsley's Motor Inn on Bigley Avenue in Charleston
about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after getting a tip that a Fayette County
fugitive might be staying there.
Stover said the occupant of Room 186 initially gave a false name,
but deputies were able to identify him as Christopher Lee Preston,
30, of Beckley.
Preston is wanted for failing to appear for drug violations in
Fayette Circuit Court. Stover said Preston had a bus ticket and was
apparently getting ready to leave the state.
