EAST HAVEN -- The Merit Award Committee will present the 18th annual East Haven Merit Awards at a dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Country House Restaurant on Route 80 in Foxon. The recipients were selected for their dedication and service to the town. The honorees are Alphonse J. Camera, Don Gelo and the East Haven Fall Festival, represented by its officers: Michael Albis, Mary Cacace and Alfred Zullo.

The event kicks off the town's annual Fall Festival, which will be held Sept. 11-13 on the Green.
