Article: ELKHART CO. RV PLANT TO GET VISIT FROM PRESIDENT

INDIANAPOLIS - President Barack Obama is in Indiana today to discuss the economy and announce a manufacturing grant in Wakarusa, a tiny northeast Indiana town at the epicenter of the economic collapse.

The town of 1,700, located about 12 miles south of Elkhart, is bracing itself in hopes of news that will revitalize an area decimated by the downturn of the RV industry.

Obama is scheduled to make a stop this morning at Wakarusa's Monaco RV plant. According to the White House, Obama will make an announcement on grants for advanced battery and electric vehicle manufacturing.

It's the third time Obama has visited Elkhart County, which at one point saw the nation's fastest-rising unemployment ...
