Article: ATHENA NOMINEES ANNOUNCED AWARD HONORS DIVERSE FEMALE LEADERS

Eleven professional women who are leaders at work and in the community are vying for the annual ATHENA Award.

Named for the Greek goddess of wisdom, the award is administered each year by the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.

The finalists were announced Tuesday at a reception in the chamber's Innovation Pointe offices.

The award aims to promote women's leadership and honor outstanding leaders from diverse backgrounds.

The winner will be announced at noon Oct. 22 during the annual ATHENA Award luncheon, scheduled in The Centre ballroom Downtown.
