On a recent weekday afternoon, John Gronen was sweeping
construction scraps off the sidewalk out in front of the Roshek
Building near the Seventh Street entrance.
The task might seem like menial labor for the man orchestrating
one of the biggest development projects in the city, but Gronen
dismisses that idea. He describes the building renovation crew as
one that operates like a family farm.
"Everybody wears a lot of different hats around here," he said.
The Roshek Building renovation, led by Gronen Restoration, is a
