Any time an event is officially sanctioned by the International Gravity Sports Association -- yes, that's a real thing -- you can bet it's going to be exciting.

But the Maryhill Festival of Speed, which includes downhill skateboard, street luge and inline skating competitions, is just plain crazy. Street luge, for the uninitiated, is basically when you strap yourself to a board with wheels just inches off the pavement and hurtle downhill as fast as possible.
