Easy little toasted canapes If time is precious, then these tasty
bites are every bit as good if made with a shop-bought tomato sauce.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
2 1/2 inch (6 cm) round cutter
rolling pin
non-stick baking sheet
5 slices Irwin's Nutty Krust bread
For the tomato sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tin of chopped tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon chopped basil
pinch of sugar
salt and black pepper
Makes 60 individual mini toasts
To make the tomato sauce, heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add
the onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until soft. Add the
tomatoes and basil, sugar and season with salt and pepper. Continue
