Nigerian militant groups surrender more arms in Bayelsa State

LAGOS, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- An additional nine assorted guns and 700 rounds of ammunition were surrendered by the militant groups in southeast Nigeria's Bayelsa State, the Nigeria Tribune newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The total number of arms surrendered by repentant militants moves up to 529 guns/riffles and 98, 680 rounds of ammunition, the report said.

Other arms surrendered included two FM rifles, four pump action rifles, one rocket launcher, one bomb RPG, one double barrel gun, six dynamites, 21 dynamite caps, one cartridge, three magazines, 2. 9mm ...
