COLFAX - Helen M. Byrne, 69, Colfax, passed away Sunday (Aug. 30, 2009) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral, but instead a celebration of life at Fat Jack's located at 511 N. Main St., Bloomington, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 19. All friends and family are encouraged to come to share and celebrate in Helen's life. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is handling arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the family.

Helen was born May 31, 1940, in Gifford, the daughter of Floyd and Faye Brownfield Armstrong.
