Call "My One and Only," directed by British veteran Richard
Loncraine, a coming-of-rage summer saga. But without any sizzle. Set
in the 1950s, it chronicles the cross-country trip taken by Upper
West Sider Anne Deveraux (Renee Zellweger) when she finally leaves
her womanizing, band-leader husband (Kevin Bacon) and takes her two
teenage sons with her. She buys a Caddy and off they go, from city
to city, seeking a new husband and daddy. Sons George (Logan Lerman)
and Robbie (Mark Rendall) watch with eye-rolling dismay as Anne
works her way through a collection of old flames and new prospects.
Most turn out to be bums, heels, users or psychos. As George, the
