QUARTERBACKS Liberty is trying to replace Brock Smith, who has
carried the Flames since Danny Rocco took over as coach in 2005.
Smith was a two-time All-Big South Conference QB. Getting the first
crack will be Tommy Beecher, a 6-foot-2, 227-pound senior who
started for South Carolina in 2008. WVU, meanwhile, is trying to
replace one of the NCAAs all-time best in Pat White. Jarrett Brown,
a 6-4, 223 pound-senior, will be the Mountaineers man. EDGE:

RUNNING BACKS Liberty football is all about the rush. Last
season, the Flames averaged 213.5 rushing yards per game. Their
