Connie Brinkman's garden is much more than a place for plants and
flowers to grow. To her, it's a challenge, a sanctuary, a playground
and a gym.
The challenge
About 15 years ago, Bob and Connie Brinkman's children were all
grown up and out of their Village of Mukwonago house - and that
meant none of them were around to clean the family pool. Bob decided
to get rid of the pool and while "sitting on the back patio, just
staring at the yard doing nothing," he thought he'd rather like a
pond, so one day, he started digging. After he put in the pond, he
spent another afternoon on the patio, staring at the yard and
