Both of Wauwatosa East's cross country teams had respectable
finishes as a team and individually at the Betz Memorial Cross
Country Invitational hosted by West Allis Hale at Greenfield Park on
Friday.
The East boys cross country team had two top-20 finishes as the
Red Raiders finished eighth out of 16 teams; the girls had four
runners in the top 26 and finished sixth out of 16 teams.
The boys had 196 points, while Appleton East won the event with
68 points.
"I was impressed with how well the boys handled themselves in the
competitive field," East coach Tom Rehberger said. "With our top
runner (Ryan Christman) unable to participate due to an injury and
