WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States
Mint announced today that the nation will honor Glacier National
Park in Montana through its new quarter-dollar coin program. The
Glacier design will be the seventh to be featured on coins released
under the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program,
and will be issued in 2011.
The park is named for its prominent glacier-carved terrain and
remnant glaciers descended from the ice ages of 10,000 years past.
