While Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods battle for the No. 1 spot in
the FedEx Cup playoffs, Mark Wilson is focused on No. 30.
The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings after the BMW
Championship this week advance to the Tour Championship and are
guaranteed starts in the four major championships in 2010.
For the 34-year-old Wilson, who has never played in the Masters
despite winning twice on the PGA Tour, climbing into the top 30 in
the standings is a goal secondary only to winning the tournament.
"I've been talking about how important it is for me to get into
the Tour Championship," said Wilson, a native of Menomonee Falls.
