WORSHIPPERS from a city church are to meet instead at Derby's art
and film centre, after the congregation trebled in five years.
The Pounds 11m Quad centre will become the new gathering place
for Jubilee Church from September 20, because its current home has
too little space. Jubilee - a Newfrontiers Church and a member of
the Evangelical Alliance - will be using the largest cinema
auditorium on Sunday mornings, and other rooms for its weekly
meetings and many youth activities.
The church meets at present in a function room over the Waterfall
pub, opposite Derby's railway station in Midland Road.
Church leader Graham Pyman said: "We used to have 30 members when
we met at the Waterfall back ...
