There can be few pieces of land in Derbyshire with as colourful and controversial history as the site of the former American Adventure. Put up for sale in 2007, Derbyshire County Council has now selected a preferred developer to take on most of the site, with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust in line to get the rest.
