Ruffing's 86-yard, three-touchdown performance in TJ's season-
opening win over H.D. Woodson might have surprised a lot of people,
but coach Bill Cherpak wasn't among them. Ruffing was the starting
point guard for the Jaguars' basketball team as a freshman last year
and is already becoming a leader on the football field. "We have
high expectations for him," Cherpak said. "We think he's going to be
a pretty good player for us."
