Article: Teen of the week: Broadneck alum marches to a new beat

When the highly regarded, award-winning Bruins Marching Band steps off this season, Jenna Burns won't be there.

A 2009 graduate of Broadneck High School, the 18-year-old Arnold resident is acclimating to freshman year at the Durham campus of the University of New Hampshire. When Jenna is not in class, she may be on the Oyster River, sculling for the UNH Women's Crew Team. Jenna was a member of Annapolis Junior Rowing her first year at Broadneck, but quickly learned it was hard to both paddle and march competitively.
