Galena High School will present The Importance of Being Earnest
by Oscar Wilde on Nov. 19, 20, and 21, 7:30 p.m. at Turner Hall in
Galena. Cast members have just started practicing and they include,
Austin Spillane as Jack Worthing, Alicia Mootz as Miss Prism and
Dakota Vaassen as Lane.
St. Mary's students will celebrate Grandparent's Day on Friday,
Sept. 11, beginning at 2 p.m. with a prayer service at school. This
will be followed by an ice cream social.
Emily Meyer is enjoying her second year of teaching 6th graders
at Galena Middle School. The next project they will be working on
is studying about ancient Egypt.
