Article: Drury Inn and Suites project in Arnold back on track

The Drury Inn and Suites hotel project in Arnold has been a real
snoozer up until now.
The hotel was planned as part of the Arnold Crossroads Plaza
redevelopment project at Highway 141 and Interstate 55. But during
the economic crisis, the hotel was put on hold.
"When the economy changed the way it did, it was very hard to
predict what the next step would be," says Charles Drury, president
of Drury Hotels Co. LLC.
Now the project is moving ahead full steam and construction is
expected to be complete by July 2010, he said.
In 2003, the Arnold City Council endorsed a preliminary
redevelopment plan from Larry Jones of Jones Realty that called for
tearing down most of the Plaza and replacing it ...
