IF EVER there was an apt name for an investment, the Recovery
fund managed by Tom Dobell at M&G Investments, has to be the one,
for recovery is exactly what has been witnessed on the global stock
market stage since March 2009.
On the doorstep, it may not seem like a recovery, but share
prices usually react six months before an economy, falling sooner
than a company appears to be in difficulty and rising sooner than it
recovers. To wait for the herd to stampede is to miss the boat.
The M&G Recovery fund was launched in June 1969 with just Pounds
200,000. Incredibly it was the same year as Neil Armstrong landed on
