MORGANTOWN - When Auburn came to West Virginia a year ago, it was
fairly easily to identify the flaws the Tigers exhibited. It was,
after all, a 4-3 team at the time and one that had struggled even to
move the football, much less score points.
This year? Well, not so much. In fact, after two games under new
coach Gene Chizik and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, the term
juggernaut comes to mind. Auburn's offense ranks fourth in the
country in total yards, second in rushing and is averaging 43 points
per game.
Case in point: A year ago the Tigers beat Mississippi State 3-2.
Saturday night they crushed the Bulldogs 49-24.
