Article: The return of the Maryland Seafood Festival

It's back. After a year's hiatus, the Maryland Seafood Festival is returning this weekend to the shores of Sandy Point Park, its home for the past three decades.

The festival, now in its 42nd year, was canceled in 2008 due to the downturn of the economy and the heavy road construction near Sandy Point and the Bay Bridge. Thousands of people who had waited all year to sample the state's finest crab soup offerings were understandably quite crabby.

Where else could you stroll along golden sands and watch the seagulls swoop over the Bay Bridge while munching a crab cake or dipping a spoon into some divine crab soup as you listened to your favorite band performing just a few feet away?
