Primary Election Day

Today is Primary Day for the Democratic, Republican and Independent parties in New York State.

A crowded field of Democratic candidates are vying for seats on the Rochester City Council.

Also among the contests to be decided are second-party nominations for several town justice candidates.

Polls in Monroe County will be open from 12 to 9 p.m. Information about candidates and polling places is available by calling the Monroe County Board of Elections at (585) 753-1511 or visit www.monroecounty.gov/elections-index.php.
