PALM SPRINGS - Paul Burke, who was twice nominated for an Emmy
for his role as Detective Adam Flint in the gritty crime hit "Naked
City," died Sunday. He was 83.
Burke, who had leukemia and non-Hodgkins lymphoma, died at his
home in Palm Springs, family spokeswoman Daniela Ryan said.
Burke was in dozens of TV shows in his four-decade career,
including prominent parts on the World War II series "12 O'Clock
High" and "Dynasty." He joined "Naked City" in its second season,
playing the brooding Flint on the show famous for its dark, quasi-
documentary style.
