Article: Molly's World ULS sophomore sets record at AHS Invite

The superlatives were flying around Arrowhead High School in a big way last Thursday afternoon, and rightly so. The performance Molly Seidel put forth that day was simply show stopping.

Running in the 24th annual Arrowhead Cross Country Invitational against most of the best runners in the state, the University Lake School sophomore dominated the girls race and in a meet and course- record time of 14:18.49. The former record was 14:24, set by Shorewood's Claire Maduza in 2002.

Seidel, who won the WIAA Division 3 cross country state championship last fall, led Thursday's race from start to finish.
