Belfast's landmark leisure and retail centre, Victoria Square,
has signed a Pounds 1.1m contract with ESB Independent Energy for
its power supplies.
The agreement will see ESBIE providing 21GW hours of electricity
a year to the Pounds 300m centre.
The 75,000sq m centre comprises retail space, a two-level food
court and restaurant terrace, 106 apartments, an eight screen Odeon
cinema and a two-level basement car park. More than 11 million
customers have visited Victoria Square since opening in March 2008,
including more than three million from the Republic.
