Waukesha - A City of Oconomowoc man who said he used marijuana because he suffered from post traumatic syndrome after he was discharged from the military has been sentenced to perform community service.

Jeremy M. Nelson, 30, of 1451 N. Breezeland Drive, was sentenced Sept.10 to 100 hours of community service by Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Richard Congdon. Congdon withheld a one year probation sentence and ordered Nelson to undergo alcohol and drug abuse treatment at the Veterans Administration hospital.

Before sentencing, Nelson entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
