STORY: The value of secondhand cars is rising instead of falling
due to a shortage in supply, according to CAP Motor Research Ltd.
COMMENT: "I guess there are winners with the Government scrappage
scheme. I was tempted, but couldn't bring myself to scrap my beloved
Micra, which is in really good condition with only 52,000 miles on
the clock. I suppose if we all sit tight, there will be a flood of
newer models available secondhand, which hopefully will push back
the value of the older cars."
