Jared Wartinbee, Taylor Hotchkiss and the rest of the Lake
Country Lutheran varsity football team passed all their tests Friday
afternoon in Beaver Dam.
The Lightning racked up mindboggling numbers through the air in
the team's 56-38 Midwest Classic Conference North Division victory
over Wayland Academy.
Wartinbee threw for 371 yards and six touchdowns to lead the
Lightning. Hotchkiss caught 8 passes for 210 yards and three
touchdowns, and he also returned a kick 84 yards for another score.
Mattt Brueser caught a 17-yard pass for the Lightning's first
points of the game. Later, he snagged one from 24 yards out. Jake
Bahr also caught a TD pass.
