POMONA - "We'll feed you and give you a ticket to the fair," said
American Red Cross, Blood Services Southern California employee
Denise Ybarra, explaining the L.A. County Fair and American Red
Cross partnership to address community health and wellness.
On Monday, Red Cross officials will conduct a blood drive from 11
a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel in Pomona. Donors will
receive a free weekday ticket to the fair and a $10 gift card for
Mimi's Restaurant.
The shared commitment to community is nothing new, Fairplex and
Red Cross officials said.
