Article: Franklin Regional marching band needs new threads

The Franklin Regional High School Marching Band could have a different look when it takes the field to perform next year.

At Monday's school board meeting, band coordinators made their case to officials for new uniforms.

The cost of the 220 band uniforms and 60 bandfront uniforms would be $106,762, said Kevin Pollack, director of the band.

Pollack said the current uniforms have been well-maintained but have reached their life expectancy of 10 years.

"It's just routine wear and tear that's to be expected," Pollack said.
