PORTAGE, Mich. -- Helen Harriet Hitchcock Stanton, 92, Portage,
formerly of Savannah, Mo., died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at a
local health care center in Portage.
Helen was born March 26, 1917, in Luray, Kan., the daughter of
Milan Edwin and Nina Belle (Beatty) Hitchcock.
She graduated from Savannah High School in 1935.
Helen married William Jean Stanton on November 28, 1937. He
preceded her in death in August 1988.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her son,
Blaine Stanton.
Helen was a homemaker and co-owned Stanton AG Market with her
husband until 1956.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Savannah;
American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 287; Andrew County N.W. ...
