Article: Verdicts & Settlements September 21, 2009: Rollover crash case settles for $550,000

A teenager ejected from the bed of a pickup truck during a rollover crash has settled his Cooper County case against the driver for $550,000.

Aaron Imhoff, 17, was a passenger in the bed of a pickup truck driven by his friend Brett Woods, 18. Woods was driving on Missouri Route M just outside Pilot Grove at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2008.

Imhoff claimed Woods' truck entered a curve too fast and ran off the right side of the road. Woods then overcorrected, crossed the centerline and struck a ditch.

The truck overturned several times. Imhoff and two other passengers riding in the truck bed were thrown from the vehicle.
