Head to the Plaza Oct. 3 for a free community event featuring art, music and food. Don't know where the Plaza District Festival will be? For shame.

Visit NW 16th Street, between Indiana and Blackwelder avenues, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and bring the family for a festive time.

Singers and dancers from Lyric Theatre and Thelma Gaylord Academy, Chinese Dragon Dancers and professional flamenco dancers from the Everything Goes Dance and Drama Studio will be among the performers. On the main stage, fashions of local designers will be modeled. Irish step dancers and other dancers will also perform.
