Article: Flood control work in Turtle Creek Valley pushed back a month

The Army Corps of Engineers will likely delay the start of flood control work in the Turtle Creek Valley until mid-October, its spokesman said.

Allegheny County still needs two easements to work on creekside property, causing a slight delay that corps officials had anticipated. They had planned to award a contract by early August and start in September but said months ago that getting real estate easements is always a big obstacle and could delay the project.
