WOOSTER -- Eli D. Weaver's marriage "wasn't the best," he testified. And when he complained about getting rid of his wife, Barbara Raber returned with suggestions, including poisons, pills and suffocating her, he said.

In his testimony against Raber, 39, of 6109 Township Road 310, Millersburg, Eli Weaver, 29, recounted his past of romancing women, including how he left his family and the Amish faith for six months to live with a Hubbard woman.

He came back to his family eventually, only to continue having affairs with several women, including fathering a child, and his relationship with Raber, he said.
