Article: Dairy products, goats, lambs, rabbits, poultry sell

The Wayne County Junior Fair Auction on Wednesday consisted of 21 items in the dairy products auction, which totaled $21,400; 18 rabbit meat pens, 81 meat pens of poultry, 48 goats and 70 lambs.

The auctioneers were Steve Andrews, Dave Acker, Mark Bachus and Bob Graber. Chris Acker clerked the sale. The ringmen were Dave Geitgey, Jim Silver, Jake Gasser, Seth Andrews, Mark Bachus and Bob Graber. Sale proceeds were handled by National City Bank.

Forty-eight market goats sold for a total of $8,444.05.

The grand champion goat owned by Bryce Payne was bought for $6 per pound by Best Buy/Beerys.com, Wayne County Jr. Fair Support Group, with the reserve champion goat owned by Lydia Hartzler ...
