A is for annuals
These usually refer to flowering plants that do their thing -
from seed to flower to seed and death - in one season. The very best
pop up year in, year out; they're the ones that like your garden
conditions the most. Sow seeds or buy punnets of seedlings from
garden centres - the ones they are selling now are the ones that are
for planting now.
B is for birds, most welcome visitors to the garden. Encourage
them by planting trees, especially ones with berries and flowers for
nectar and to attract insects, upon which many birds feast, and with
places to roost and nest in safety.
C is for conundrum, what to plant and what to plant when and
