Baseball Players Trust announced yesterday that the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID) and Major League
Baseball Players Trust are teaming up to donate US$100,000, through
the Major League Baseball Dominican Development Alliance (MLB-DDA),
to Esperanza International's Banks of Hope program.
Banks of Hope is a micro-credit program that will benefit 340
families in two marginalized neighborhoods in northern Santo
