Lois Raimondo has seen children die, studied honor killings and
investigated corruption and the Mafia.
Raimondo, a new professor at West Virginia University's Perley
Isaac Reed School of Journalism, brings years of real-world
journalism experience to her students, who she hopes will think
critically about themselves and their work.
She worked for 11 years as a journalist with The Washington Post
and has specialized in both photography and writing. She's covered
world issues in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This fall, the school's new Shott Chair in journalism is teaching
an introduction to photojournalism course in Morgantown.
