Article: DAI Oktoberfest poised to pour, feed, entertain

DAYTON -- What is it about the Dayton Art Institute's Oktoberfest that has drawn 730,000 people and raised more than $3 million over the last 37 years?

Is it the art? The beer? The artists? The music? The food? Entertainment?

The answer, of course, is: Yes.

The Dayton Art Institute Associate Board describes the event -- which will be held at DAI Saturday and Sunday, with a "preview party" today -- as "an international festival featuring food from around the world, unique art and crafts, and a variety of live entertainment inside and outside."

And, um, beer. Did we mention beer? A DAI press release humbly refers to "ample domestic, international and craft beers," but in this case, I ...
