"Cheers" and "Congratulations" to friend of the vine Mary Ellen
Cole on becoming the Los Angeles County Fair's first Certified
Sommelier granted by the American Chapter of the Court of Master
Sommeliers.
Cole, who served as wine master at Fairplex for the past 24
years, passed the rigorous exam (including blind tasting, written
theory and live service) last week. She's pivotal in the planning
and implementation of the prestigious Los Angeles International Wine
& Spirits competition that takes place each May at Fairplex.
