OPPORTUNITIES can be fleeting in the rarified world of Scottish
pro rugby and Dave McCall is more determined than anyone to grasp
the chance he has been given at Firhill tonight.
A fast and skilful rugby player, McCall was signed as an
apprentice by Edinburgh straight from Stewart's-Melville College.
His early career fittingly flew by, representing Scotland at sevens
in the 2004 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, winning Scotland Under-
19 caps on the wing and scoring against England, making his Magners
League debut against Cardiff in November 2006, and playing for the
Scotland sevens team on the IRB World Sevens Series.
