APPLE CREEK -- Delno Donald Orr, 86, of Apple Creek, passed away
Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Apple Creek, the son of Ross J. and
Ethel (Hofacre) Orr and married Hazel Reich. She survives.
Delno was a dairy farmer and a truck driver, who was proud of his
Irish heritage.
He was a member of Apple Creek United Methodist Church, Gnat
Boxer Square Dancing Group and had wintered in Fort Meade, Fla., for
the past 24 years, where he was past president of the homeowners
association.
He was a member of Ohio State University R.O.T.C. Pershing
Rifles, and had served his country in the U.S. Army, where he was in
Pattons 3rd Army Artillery ...
