Article: Bits and Pieces Wooster flower seller remembered

After Becky and Emerson Stoll asked if anyone knew the name of the older gentleman who used to sell glads, dahlias and calla lilies on Cleveland Road, Betsy (Franks) Bower responded.

"His name was Russell Stauffer," Bower wrote. "I knew Mr. Stauffer through Valley College Grange when I was a teen. He was a tiny man, but had a tremendous voice that reached some of the lowest, deepest octaves you could imagine. I was always amazed when he sang."

Stanley Orr remembered Stauffer, too. "Just about everybody in town bought flowers from him. He went to Central Christian Church ... I think he lived west of town."
